My husband and I have lived in a lot of places, including Europe . When we finally got the opportunity to choose where we wanted to live, we knew exactly the lifestyle we wanted. We began our search in Phoenix . We ended it in Western North Carolina . Why?

1. The weather. By the time you tire of the current season, itÕs time for it to change. What is constant? Sunshine!

2. The mountains--what a luxury to start each day with gorgeous views!

3. The tranquility of country life with shopping and cultural offerings reasonably close by.

4. As newcomers, we did not want to be treated like outsiders. There are many new residents here and that makes meeting and making local friends much easier.

5. And last but also important, we wanted to get value for our financial investment.

I never forget that the process of selling and buying is both exciting and stressful. Remembering my own experiences, whether they were seamless or awful, helps me work hard to insure that my clients have a hassle-free experience.

My education is in statistics and analysis, and marketing. I started my real estate career as an appraiser and that is a plus for my clients, buyers or sellers. I understand the workings of the marketplace.

Hobbies: I love to read and rare is the day that I do not spend a few minutes reading either for pleasure or news or knowledge. Once in a while, the muse is with me and I reverse the experience: I write.

My great-grandparents were born in Russian-Polish villages. Their descendants live on six continents. Genealogy not only explains who I am but also reminds me that, eventually, we are all cousins.

Our homes are our nests, our refuge. They tell the world who we think we are. From finding a little something special to tuck into a corner to keeping up with the latest trends in design, I find the process of turning a house into a home fascinating.

At eighteen, I back-packed my way through Europe . I still love to find new places. That's how we found Lake Lure !!
